Colourist

Colour grading is one of my specialist areas and being a colourist isn't just about making the cameras all balanced and matched. Some projects call for treating the footage to look old, correcting camera exposure problems and also grading footage to give it a 'look'.

I've spent many years colour grading & working as an online editor so my attention to detail is quite precise. I have graded many broadcast programmes that have gone out on networks such as the BBC & Channel 4 in the UK, YTV in Canada and Channel 7 here in Australia. Recent work has included online & colour grade for 'Rexona Australia's Greatest Athlete' airing on Channel 7 & 7 Mate.

The content has been extremely varied from Live Concerts with multiple cameras cut live through to sports programs and sitcoms. Music videos and visuals for live performance have formed a large part of my work as a colourist, ranging from low-budget 'up & coming' acts through to established artists such as Rocket Science, Secret Machines, The Belles, Brand New, Switchfoot, Fallout Boy, Delirious and Dr. Dre.

I've put the finishing touches to television campaigns for clients such as Europcar, Battery World, Toyota, Adidas, Event Cinemas and Crimsafe. Most of this work involves layering the graphics and sound on as part of a team and preparing the adverts for delivery to the television networks.
